Happy 4th of July!

The United States of America Independence Day.
I LOVE my country and the freedoms I enjoy. I am so grateful for the early Patriots who gave their lives so that I could be free from tyranny. I only hope I am valiant enough in my life to prevent tyranny from controlling my beloved country.

With that in mind, here's how we celebrated the 233rd birthday of our nation!

We woke up and had breakfast - and Mason is quite patriotic in his red, white and blue jammies!

We went outside and waited for the parade to begin - we're so lucky to live so close to the parade route. No parking hassles and walking long distances for us!

Shane, Lori, Ethan and Lily came to watch the parade with us.

Mason and Lily had a fun time playing with the bubbles!

We saw Marc's cousin Linnea! She served as a missionary in the Utah Provo mission but mostly in the St. George visitor's center. Since she was nearing the end of her mission she got to come up with all the other outgoing missionaries and be in the parade. It looks like the sisters got to ride on the float! (Linnae is in the greenish shirt on the right of the picture)

That afternoon Hillary, Mike, Joe and Andrew came over for a BBQ and to have our own little fireworks. They sure had fun playing with the sparklers!

Such a cute face!

I think Joe is having fun!
