"Just Right" sizes for Mason boy

Here's a collection of some fun pictures we've taken over the last 4 months of Mason in some cool new spaces he's found in our apartment that are or were just the right size for him.

The first set of photos is from right after New Year's when our brother-in-law Mike brought us their old book shelf. Since they now have a 'library' in their new house, they needed a LOT more shelves to hold all of their (mostly Mike's) books - so they offered this bookshelf to us they no longer were using (I don't blame them, their new shelves look so good and as an interior design major - this bookshelf really wouldn't look good in the same room with all their other book shelves). Yay for free stuff from family! It came just in time as our old book shelf in the office was getting quite wobbly since it had a top and a bottom and this one is a solid one piece. Anyway - Mason thought it was great fun to play in until we started filling it up with books and wouldn't let him play in it anymore.

Now for the corner kitchen cabinet! Beginning of March we had emptied most of the bottom kitchen corner cabinet out when we were making home made ice cream in our refurbished electric ice cream maker - which is normally stored in the very back of the corner cabinet since we don't use it regularly. Anyway, Mason realized it was the perfect spot to climb into - it was just his size!

And now for the very most recent photo yet to get on our blog in over 8 months...
We bought a new bed from My Comfort (we actually bought it from one of their retail stores here in Utah) - and the foundation came in a box via UPS that we had to put together. We were a bit hesitant when we realized that we had to put together our own bed's foundation, but it wasn't too hard and even Mason found it fun to 'help' out. Plus, once it was all put together and it doesn't have a fabric backing on the bottom of it (as you can see in the picture), we can stack some of our short boxes on top of each other underneath the bed. Yay for more inconspicuous storage!!!
